    FIDE世界杯锦标赛将于2005年11月26日～12月18日在俄罗斯Khanty Mansyisk举行。128位棋手将参加比赛。
    在第7轮加赛中，亚美尼亚特级大师阿罗尼扬连下两城击败乌克兰特级大师波罗马廖夫，阿罗尼扬获得本次世界杯锦标赛的冠军。波罗马廖夫获得亚军。巴克洛在加赛中1.5-0.5击败格里斯丘克，巴克洛获得第3名，格里斯丘克获得第4名。巴里耶夫在加赛中1.5-0.5击败格尔凡德，巴里耶夫获得第5名，格尔凡德获得第6名。
