世界联队获得“世纪之战”胜利

    俄国队与世界联队之间的“新世纪之战”将与9月9日～11日在莫斯科举行。比赛为在10位俄罗斯棋手和10位世界联队棋手之间进行的10轮舍维宁根的快棋赛（25分钟，每步加10秒）。
    “世界之战”最后一轮比赛已经结束，希洛夫执白在西西里防御下击败斯维德勒，拉贾博夫执白也击败兹维亚金采夫，为世界联队锦上添花；德列耶夫执黑在卡罗卡恩防御击败斯米林，卡尔波夫执白在格林菲尔德防御击败小波尔加为俄罗斯扳回两分。其余各台俄罗斯棋手虽然尽力搏杀，也未能取胜。第10轮比赛世界联队与俄罗斯队以5－5战平。
    经过10轮100局的快棋比赛，世界联队以52－48战胜俄罗斯队，获得“世纪之战”的胜利。
